Nathan Wilson, You are TEN years old! A whole decade! What a joy the last ten years have been with you in our family. You are a wonderful son and big brother. You are kind, smart, thoughtful, hard working, responsible, affectionate, passionate and all around a truly awesome kid. What a gift you are! We are continually thanking God for you.
At ten years old, your favorite interests are Legos, Roblox, karate, roller coasters, Harry Potter, and football. You're passion for Legos has never waned, and we're continually impressed with your skill, knowledge, and speed in building new sets. You also have a new interested in roller coasters and theme parks and it has been consuming you! You play all the theme park games on Roblox, build all the roller coasters in our backyard, research the new roller coasters on YouTube and build anything roller coaster themed out of Legos. You're constantly sharing your knowledge with us and begging us to take you to new theme parks. Your passion for your interests is something that you've shown us your whole life. It always reminds me of my sweet, two year old train loving boy. I admire your desire to research and discover new things about your current interests.
You have big ideas! You're always thinking about something new you want to design or create- your current big idea is building a roller coaster in the back yard! I cannot wait to see the things you design/create as an adult. I know you're going to do great things.
You're taking karate classes right now and are looking forward to another season of flag football in the Fall. As you've gotten older, you've narrowed your interests to those two main activities.
Your favorite subjects is science and your least favorite is language arts. You like to read especially when you find a good book that you can't put down. Your latest favorite it Donut Fix and Donut King. You also finished reading all seven of the Harry Potter books before our recent trip to Universal Studios.
You have a great group of friends. I'm so very thankful for the group of boys you call your friends. Your favorite friends right now are Wyatt, Caleb, Daniel, Caden, Levi, and Liam. You are a fun friend always coming up with crazy ideas to play. You're also kind and thoughtful in your friendships a trait that I'm very proud of. You loved homeschool this year. You were skeptical at first, but realizing you could get up and get your school finished in a couple of hours and have the rest of the day free sold you on it. You told me you want to do homeschool forever. You were very self motivated to get your school list finished everyday as quickly and efficiently as possible. You were an ideal student!
You are a responsible, mature boy. You wake up and finish your chores and morning routine immediately without needing any reminders or guidance from me. You take good care of your things and are protective of your stuff. You've earned a lot of trust for your responsible behavior.
You are a great big brother to your younger siblings. You're an excellent role model and are a natural in your role as the oldest in the family. You do like to be in charge of whatever you're playing, but usually do a good job at including all your siblings. You love to give piggy back rides to Katherine and are most happy to help her.
Your favorite foods are tacos, steak, pizza, and ravioli. You're a great eater, always willing to try new foods and eat without complaining.
You are social and will talk to anyone. I rarely see shy moments with you unless you're in a big group setting, then you're very quiet. But you'll strike up a conversation with a kid or adult when we're at an activity or a store, and you're always, always talking to me about whatever current interest you have.
You get so excited about everything in life. You research, plan and talk about every activity or trip we have on the calendar. Your zeal for life is contagious and makes our lives so much happier and exciting.
You are such a sweet son, always wanting to be with our family, giving hugs anytime you leave or come home, planning family activities, enjoying our time together. We love you so much. You're growing into a really awesome kid. I'm so very proud of you and couldn't imagine our family without you.
