February Fun

We had a really fun February full of special memorable moments.

These two went to their first Daddy, Daughter Dance the first weekend in February. Elisabeth was so excited. Several of her friends were planning on attending too which added to her excitement. She chose her dress, hair style, nail polish design and her choice for dinner- Braums, before the dance.

This Sweet Girl is growing up way too fast and is at a super fun age right now. I love her innocence, excitement, and fun she brings to everything.

I think her favorite part of the dance were the snacks. She ended up getting bored and asked to leave early- I think the preparation was more fun than the actual dance for her.

She also had a little in studio Valentine's Dance performance in February. It was a super cute dance- One of my favorites that she's performed!

I feel like a lot of this month was about Elisabeth, ha! She also attended Sarah's sixth birthday party and got to make a necklace and bracelet. It was a fun, girly afternoon.

We had some beautiful weather in February. It was so warm and sunny that after an afternoon of family jumping on the trampoline, I busted out the popsicles for the kids. It felt like summer.
These sweet sisters are just the best. They adore each other and always want to be together.
This pile of winter gear could only mean one thing...

A SNOW DAY!!
Finally after a crazy long snow drought- Elisabeth's entire life, we finally had enough snow for an authentic snow day!

Of course we had to me pancakes for breakfast to keep the energy levels up.
The kids were in and out all day long playing in the snow.

They took a cookie break to warm up

When Daddy got home from work we walked over to our neighborhood pond for some sledding/snowball fight fun with our favorite neighbors.

It was a perfect snow day!

Katherine takes such good care of all her babies/stuffed animals. She's always carrying around a handful of animals/babies. It's adorable.
And she's almost always wearing a princess dress.
And she also loves to read books and is the master manipulator of the "one more book" trick.
I always love watching her play and problem solve.

And she melts my heart when she "reads" her Bible

Samuel got to celebrate the 100th day of school dressed as an old man and a Mario poster.

And this girl celebrated her half birthday with her friends at school. I joined her for lunch and she brought half birthday donuts for her classmates.
Paige is the Cutest Photo Bomber and one of Elisabeth's best school friends.
Of course we had to eat lunch with Nathan and Samuel too. Everything is always more exciting when Katherine is around.

February was full of play dates with Addisyn which always involves costumes and bag packing. They always like to play "trip" when they're together and pack their bags and go to a "hotel"
This Old Lady also had fun celebrating her 100th day of school (two days after Samuel's).
Katherine can't be left out of pictures.
These boys have been staying up late on Wednesday nights after church to watch Lego Masters together. They both are loving it.
Katherine is my errand buddy these days, and trips to Target are full of fun, like hugging the mannequins, petting the puppies, driving jeeps and playing in play houses.

Our Target trips are never quick, but they sure are fun! She's my favorite shopping buddy.

Nathan had his very first karate tournament at the end of February. He did great at sparring for being a brand new yellow belt, and he really seems to have found his sport.

It might end up being Katherine's sport too :)

We broke out Rock Band and now have our own family band.

They take it so seriously. It's adorable!
Have I mentioned that there's never a dull moment around here :)
Elisabeth had a skip day from school so we could have a play date with Audrey and Brynn. This is her last year to get to have these skip days and playdates, so I'm soaking it up. She and Audrey have so much fun playing together. It's a fight when I tell Elisabeth she has to say goodbye.
We have a new little chef around here. Elisabeth is always asking to help me in the kitchen. She's becoming a pro at scrambled eggs, pancakes and conquered French Toast this month.
I got to surprise her at school one day as her Mystery Reader. She was shocked and so excited. She has such a great Pre-K class. I love getting to spend time with her and her friends at school.
The girls got to help Ainsley celebrate her sixth birthday with the best Princess Party. The girls were elated when Anna and Elsa showed up and sang songs, read stories, and gave them makeovers. After that party both girls are set on having princesses at their birthdays too.

Ainsley is one of Elisabeth's favorite friends. She's almost always at the top of Elisabeth's list when she asks to invite friends over.

It was such a fun and special party and a great way to end our February fun.
