We had a fun week in Weatherford for Bible School. I can't believe Nathan has been attending for seven years, and he only has three years left! We look forward to Bible School week every year.
These Sweeties were excited for their first day- Katherine had no idea what was happening. She was less thrilled than the others when I dropped her off, ha!
After the first day of Bible school, we met friends at the park for lunch and play time. One of the highlights of Bible school week is getting to catch up with Mindy and her kiddos. We've made an effort lately to try and get our kids together more often, and they're all starting to become really good friends.
We had a relaxing night at Granny's house playing games.
I taught Elisabeth how to play Catan Jr while we were in Weatherford, and she picked it up really fast! It was fun to play with her.
Tuesday morning Katherine requested a picture with the duckies. She would always point and say ducky when she saw them.
Tuesday after Bible school we had lunch with Momoo and cousins. Elisabeth was excited to eat Momoo's famous chocolate cake, yum!
After lunch we all went to the splash pad. The kids had so much fun. They all said it was their favorite part of the week.
The giant bucket dumping on them is their favorite (and Katherine's least favorite). I know it was special for Momoo to watch her great grandkids having such a fun time playing.
Before we knew it, it was time for day 3 of VBS.
We had to have more pictures with the duckies
Wednesday afternoon Nathan invited Carter over to play Mario Kart while his sisters were at swim lessons. Carter was a big fan of Mario Kart when they visited us last Spring.
These boys are such sweet friends. I'm so grateful for them and their friendship
The girls played outside during the afternoon when Carter visited.
Elisabeth drew a picture of a unicorn and I love it so much!
Wednesday night was Family Night at VBS and the kids got to perform some of their songs they had learned. They're still singing them!
The kids asked to play Fast Track that night. We started playing it when Samuel was a baby, and now all three kids can play with minimal adult help. It's more fun now, ha!
Thursday morning it was pouring outside, so we took our daily picture inside the church. The rain couldn't stop the Bible school fun!
Thursday afternoon after Katherine's nap, we stopped for a snow cone treat, and then spend the afternoon/evening with Matt's parents.
The kids always enjoy playing with Daddy's old toys.
The kids were a little less cooperative for a group picture by the end of the week.
We had to get pictures with the greatest great grandparents around. I'm so so thankful for my relationship with my grandparents and the special part they play in my kids' lives. I know my kids will always have fond memories of their great grandparents in their hearts They have created such a wonderful legacy not only to my family but to their entire church family through their service in their church. They're the best!
We stopped for lunch with Momoo on the way out of town on Friday and headed home to be reunited with Daddy.
On Saturday the boys requested to make Smores like they had at Bible School. They're a fun summer treat with special memories attached to them.
We're already looking forward to next VBS!
