Thursday morning at the beach started off with a search for seashells.
The kids (with the help of their dad) found some great ones.
Little Sister slept through most of the searching.
And then woke up and ate snacks.
After they found all their seashells, Nathan cleaned them.
And Samuel built a sand castle, of course :)
Elisabeth and I made ice cream out of the sand with whipped cream (water in a watering can) and sprinkles (extra sand sprinkled on top). We had fun making our little ice cream shop, and the boys were happy customers
Elisabeth found more friends at the beach on Thursday and had fun playing in the waves with them.
As usual, we headed to the pool after the beach
and then up to the condo for lunch and games
and naps
After naps the kids asked to play mini golf again, so we headed back to Goofy Golf to play the other course.
Then we went to dinner and to the park.
I have some monkeys in my family.
These two were excited for our last day at the beach on Friday.
Sweet girls in bathing suits.
Kate was ready for another fun day in the sun.
Matt and I took turns taking the kids out in the water and staying on the beach building sand castles and making ice cream and playing with the sweetest baby around.
It was another great day, and Elisabeth found her friend at the pool and had fun playing with her, and the boys had fun with her friend's older brother. It was a great last day at the beach and pool.
We came back for lunch and skipped rest time on Friday because the kids wanted to go to the mall and to the park and we needed them to be tired for the drive home on Saturday anyway.
We all played a game after lunch and then headed to the mall.
The kids had fun playing at the mall and Matt even bought some new clothes so that's always a win
We drove to Navarre for dinner at Culvers and then went to a fun park on the water that we found when we stayed in Navarre on the way to Disney World.
We were all a little sad driving back to our condo to pack up. We all get a little grumpy at the end of our vacations. We had such a wonderful week. It was so special to spend time all together for a whole week just playing and doing fun things. We LOVE vacations and can't wait for our next one. We might have started planning it on our way home :). That's how we cope with the end of vacations.
