Beach Vacation, Part 3

Daddy ran into Destin Wednesday morning to get us a treat for breakfast from The Donut Hole. They have the best donuts. We always ate breakfast on the balcony.
After breakfast we were back at the beach.

Another day, another sand castle

Nathan and I headed back out in the waves.
This girls loves snacks, especially on the beach.

The kids loved burying each other in the sand

Our beach day got cut a little short on Wednesday because we got caught in a rain shower around 10:30 that morning. We were unprepared for the rain and we all got soaked trying to pack up all our stuff and get back to the condo. We sat under the umbrella for a bit hoping it would pass, but then gave up and went back to our room. We had some extra time for games that day which was fun.

After naps and rest time we headed into Destin to play at this little amusement park/go kart track/arcade that the kids love. They had fun riding the rides. I love their big smiles!

Baby sister even got to ride on the swings. She loves swings,so we assumed she'd love this, but we're really not sure what she thought of it. She only smiled when she saw us.

But it brought back memories from this other baby girl riding the swings

Man, those kids grow up so fast!

Elisabeth rode the Dino ride while her brothers rode the go karts with Daddy.
Here's another throwback with Dino

The boys took turns riding the go karts with Matt, while the rest of us played in the arcade.

They had enough tickets in the end of the night to each get a ring pop. Samuel got interrupted from riding go karts because of a rain shower, so while we waited for the rain to pass we headed to dinner at Bubba Gump's Shrimp House.

The food was great, and the kids were excited that they got jello with their kids' meals.

After dinner we headed back to the track so Samuel could ride the go karts.

And the kids had a few tickets left to ride a couple more rides before we left.
We didn't get to go to the pool that day because it rained while we were at the beach, so I told the kids if they napped, I would take them to the pool that night when we got back. They were excited to get to swim at night. Oh, the joys of childhood! Elisabeth met a little friend at the pool too and played with her the whole time and again on Friday when we were at the pool. She found friends wherever we went that week. She's such a friendly, social little thing. I enjoyed watching that part of her personality while we were on vacation.
