Fall Fun

 We've been having a great October enjoying all things Fall! Here are some of the things we've been up to.

My parents' church have a Fall Festival every year, and they invited us to join them this year.

 They had pony rides. The boys loved them, and Elisabeth wouldn't get close to them.

 Nathan kept showing us how he could ride with no hands.

 Elisabeth may have wanted nothing to do with the horses, but she was all into the corn dogs!

 They had a bean bag toss tournament. The boys waited patiently for their turn to play.

 Samuel has it figured out!

 Last week, Nathan had his first field trip! We were both so excited about our trip to the pumpkin patch. He went to the same one that we visit every year, but being with all his school friends made it extra special.

 He's made some sweet friends this year at school. He's such a social kid and tells me about his friends all the time.

 He found the perfect pumpkin!

 My mom kept my other two for the day, so I could join Nathan on his field trip. He kept saying, "This is like a Mommy, Nathan date." Such precious times with my Biggest!

 Last Saturday night, we went to Levi's fifth birthday party. Levi is a new school and church friend, and we were all thrilled to attend his party.

 And the boys were enamored with the tree house. We spent all night trying to keep Elisabeth off the ladder. Little Sister problems.

 The best part of the party was a hay ride with lanterns.

 Ever since the party, Nathan has been trying to figure out a way to have a hay ride at his birthday party. Ha ha. His best idea is borrowing the ATV from Grammy and tying it to our wagon to give kids a ride around our back yard. Seriously, though, he hasn't stopped talking about it!

  Fall weather rolled in last weekend, and it was finally cool enough for long sleeves and pants for church on Sunday. And new boots for the Shoe Diva in our family!

 Nathan is participating in children's choir on Sunday nights at my parents' church, and this Sunday was his first time to sing on the stage. He is a performer and was disappointed that he only got to sing one song that night.

 On Tuesday, Nathan asked if we could have a Jammie day. I couldn't resist. We stayed in jammies all day and played at home (and cleaned up a little bit too). The boys have been interested in video games lately and are becoming Mario Brothers fans. I love it! And don't tell Samuel that his controller isn't plugged in :).

 We enrolled Nathan in a private preschool this year primarily because it's only a three day a week program (instead of our public Pre-K that is five days a week). I am savoring the two days a week we have at home and the opportunity to have jammy days at home for one more year at least!

Tuesday night the boys were watching their night night show when I came downstairs after putting Elisabeth to bed. Usually while they finish their show, I straighten up the kitchen/Living room and get ready for the next day. But last night, Samuel asked if he could sit in my lap while he watched his show. I've been holding him a little tighter this week after the OSU tragedy that took the life of a precious two year old, so I was more than happy to cuddle him and breathe a prayer of thankfulness that he was in my arms.

 And today, Samuel had an Orange Party at his school. He was so excited to bring orange coke to the party and to wear his orange Pistol Pete shirt.

 Fall is sure a fun time in our family. We are looking forward to all the Halloween festivities in the next few days too!
