Samuel's party was such a special time for our whole family. We were so thankful for all our family and friends that joined us to celebrate. Samuel adored being the center of attention, and it was a great time of fellowship with so many family members and precious friends.
The day before his party, I did a little video of Samuel talking about his party. He's adorable
Birthdays always make me feel extra sentimental and blessed for the wonderful family I've been given.
My mom got the boys dinosaur balloons and they ran around playing with them all morning.
Nothing is off limits on party day. Our Samuel loved the party food!
This was biggest turn out we've had for a birthday party. We had a house full of adults and lots of Little Ones running around.
We all gathered around to sing to the birthday boy and he was in heaven. He had the biggest grin on his face listening to everyone sing to him. Best part of the party for his mommy.
After a cupcake it was time for presents! Poor Nathan learned some lessons about jealousy while we were preparing for Samuel's party. It was rough on him not getting the special treatment. But my mom surprised him with a special present at the party too, and he thought it was the best thing in the world.
He has been playing "Jake and the Neverland Pirates" a lot lately with a makeshift costume, and he was always really concerned about the "line' Jake wears around his head, so to get his very own Jake hair, was pretty awesome.
Little brother loved it too.
Our friends know our Samuel well. He got lots of books and coloring books and stickers. He loved all his new toys.
It was fun having so many of Samuel's little friends at the party. When Nathan turned two, there were a lot fewer kids in our group of friends. It's a joy to do life with our friends and celebrate all of our children's milestones together. We have been friends with most of the people that came for years before we had children, and it's really neat to watch our children becoming good friends now too.
Samuel got an easel from Grammy and Papa Joe. He had fun coloring all over it. And he'll be in heaven if I'm ever brave enough to pull the paints out :)
Samuel ran around for the rest of the day yelling, "Happy Birthday Samuel!" I think he had a really great birthday!
It was such a great day celebrating a really awesome kid. He has blessed us in so many ways these past two years.
