2011 in Review

2011 was a momentous year for our little family filled with the most change we have experienced since "The Baughers" came to be. Back in 2008 we had a pretty big year- both graduated from college and ended our  careers as students, started new jobs, moved to a new city,  bought a house, and got a dog, but I think 2011might have beat it. Here is a look back at our year.

January
 - My parents closed on their new house in Broken Arrow (6 miles from our house)

February
- We survived a blizzard that canceled school for two weeks and delayed one of Matt's flights to Florida for a couple of days. I have fondness for the blizzard that changed Matt's 5 day trip to a quick 3 day one.
- We celebrated my 26th birthday
- We spent the weekend in Kansas City for my birthday/"babymoon"
- We were blessed with a family baby shower for Nathan in Weatherford

March
- Matt traveled to Florida for his last trip before baby and his last extended trip. We celebrated with a night at the Melting Pot
- We were spoiled with a special baby shower hosted by our dear friends from church

April
- I completed all my requirements to become a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist
- We finished the final touches in Nathan's nursery
- We celebrated Easter with our family in Broken Arrow
- I finished my last day of work at Cleveland Middle School

May
- We welcomed Nathan Wilson into our family
- We survived the first crazy weeks with a newborn
- We celebrated five wonderful years of marriage and left Nathan with my parents for the first time and went out to dinner
- Matt turned 28

June
-Matt celebrated 3 years at FlightSafety and earned a promotion and a raise (I was pleased to see all his hard work in Florida didn't go unnoticed).
- Matt made a long weekend trip to Florida
- While he was gone, Nathan took his first car trip to Weatherford to spend time with his great grandparents

July
- We welcomed our niece, Amelia Jane into the world and into our family

August
- Nathan and I traveled to Iowa with my parents to meet baby Amelia
- Matt made his final trip to Florida (a quick 3 day trip)
- We dedicated Nathan to the Lord at our church
- Nathan started attending a Mother's Day Out two days per week

September
- We made another weekend trip to Iowa so Matt could meet his niece
- I started back working part time for Youth Services of Tulsa
- We spent a weekend in Dallas at Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor

October
- We had a visit from our friends the Shondelmyer's and got to meet their new baby, Wyatt
- We spent a weekend in western Oklahoma with our good friends the Evetts and the Millers
- We traveled to Stillwater so Nathan could experience America's Greatest Homecoming and enjoyed spending time with the Allens.

November
- Nathan spent his first night away from home at Grammy's house
-We hosted Thanksgiving in our home

December
- Bedlam turned out in our favor and our Cowboys earned their first outright Big 12 Championship
- Nathan became mobile
- We celebrated Nathan's first Christmas with all our family. Such special memories
