Elisabeth's Fifth Birthday Party

We had a great day celebrating Elisabeth's Fifth Birthday Party. For almost an entire year, she has requested a birthday party at Bounce U. She never waivered or changed her mind, so that's just what we did. She also requested a Tinkerbell theme. I didn't really get it because she's never been a big Tinkerbell fan. Maybe she's watched Peter Pan but none of the other Tinkerbell movies. She did meet her at Disney World and it was a great Character Greet, so maybe that had something to do with it. She wanted a Tinkerbell dress with her fairy wings, a Tinkerbell Bounce House invitation, and a Tinkerbell cake. It all turned out super cute. I love my opinionated girl. She knows what she wants!

We took a few pictures before heading over to Bounce U to party with our favorite five year old.

Katherine could not be left out of the photo session. She's never far from her sister.

Elisabeth was so excited to play with her friends at Bounce U. She couldn't wait for them to arrive.

One fun thing about a summer birthday that I realized with Elisabeth is that her party felt sort of like a class reunion for her Pre-K class. She invited all the girls from her class, and it was fun to catch up with everyone after a few weeks without seeing them.
Everyone bounced their hearts out. They were so sweaty from playing so hard!

Her wings and bun didn't last long with all her bouncing. She was beaming the whole time.

Friendships are a big deal to my girl. She's a very friendly, outgoing, popular girl, and she absolutely adores and cherishes her friends. I'm so grateful for all the sweet friendships she has.

After lots and lots of bouncing, we took a break for cake and presents. Another thing about Elisabeth is that she loves to be the center of attention. She just eats it up! She couldn't wait to walk in and have all her friends yell Happy Birthday and to sit in the big, fancy Bounce U chair to eat her cake and open her presents.

She was also very excited about the cup they gave her at the party.

She's been talking about this throne chair for a year, ha! She finally got her turn to sit in it and be the number one girl.
Her friends spoiled her with sweet, girly gifts. Lots of barbies and jewelry, and play doh. She loved everything.

I hope my girl is always surrounded by good friends like these.

We made gummy flowers for favors, and Elisabeth handed them to all her guests at the end of the party.

It was such a great day. I hope she remembers her fifth birthday party for a long time. I know I will.

Elisabeth's Fifth Birthday

Elisabeth had a great day on the day she turned five. The advantage of a summer birthday is that we got to spend the whole day together celebrating her! Matt and I surprised her with her birthday present when she woke up the morning of her birthday. She was so excited about finding our what her present was.

Sweet girl had seen the Barbie Dreamhouse at the store when we were looking at toys. She said, "I really want that Barbie Dreamhouse, but no one will get it for me because it's too expensive." It was so fun to surprise her.

After some play time with her new present we had a special birthday breakfast. Elisabeth asked for monkey bread for her birthday breakfast. She's never eaten it before but had seen it somewhere and wanted to try it. She actually wasn't that crazy about it. I think she prefers pancakes. Her brothers loved it though, so there's that I guess.

Granny and Grandaddy came up for the day to help us celebrate, and we spent the morning playing games. Elisabeth really enjoys playing any kind of game. Fast Track is a special game that we save for visits with Granny and Grandaddy.
I also spent her birthday baking and decorating her birthday cake for her party the next day. She requested a Tinkerbell cake and picked out the cake topper, the colors and what she wanted on her cake. She's opinionated! But I was very pleased with how it turned out.
Matt's parents came up to visit the afternoon of her birthday and we had her favorite meal for dinner Friday night. She also got to open some presents from family and play with her new toys. She got two fun card games and a new scooter that she tried out Friday night.
She also asked for a chocolate cupcake that she decorated herself for her birthday dessert.
She had a full fun day of celebrating. Elisabeth loves special attention, and she soaked up every bit of it on her birthday.
