Disney World Day 6

My first stop at Magic Kingdom on Thursday morning was Guest Services (a common theme this trip) to iron out a misunderstanding about the genie redemptions we received from Rise of the Resistance the night before. I visited with a very nice cast member who gave us five fast passes for the day including one for Seven Dwarves Mine Train. With that information stored in my phone, I knew we were going to have a fantastic day! And spoiler alert, we did!

Since we had a fast pass for Seven Dwarves and we weren't super close to the front of the rope drop pack, we decided to skip it and ride the other Fantasy Land attractions while the waits were nonexistent. Our first ride of the day was Dumbo! Sweet Katherine was excited. Such classic Disney fun!

Even Samuel was happy to ride it. I can't believe how big he's getting.

Next we headed to the Barnstormer and rode it twice in a row, because Katherine loved it. She wasn't as excited as Flight of the Hippogriff, but her happy squeals took me back to last year's vacation. 

After the Barnstormer, we rode the Go Karts in Tomorrowland. 

Then the big kids and I rode Space Mountain (a much better experience than our first try!) while Katherine and the rest of the adults rode Astro Orbiter. 

With those rides, we finished everything in Tomorrowland and waved goodbye to Stitch!

We walked back to Fantasyland to ride Voyage of the Little Mermaid, which is one of my favorites! Little Mermaid still ranks as one of my favorite Disney movies even though I had nightmares about Ursula after I saw it in the movie theater. 

It's a Dream Come True to ride the princess rides with my two beautiful daughters. I'll never take it for granted!

The carousel is always a must do. I'll never forget Toddler Katherine pointing and saying "Horsey" over and over during our last trip. She's grown into a joyful preschooler. 

And this princess has grown up too. 

The kids unsuccessfully pulled the sword out of the stone. 

And we ran into Belle. She was so far away, we could barely hear her. 

We also met Tiana and Rapunzel. 

Then we redeemed our fast passes for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Peter Pan. I can't tell you how great it was to ride those rides without waiting in line. 

After a busy morning we were all ready for a break and a delicious lunch in a French castle. 

Be Our Guest is a favorite for all of us and has become a tradition. It certainly did not disappoint this time around!

Great service, great food, great company and great grey stuff. It can't be beat! Nathan got to order off of the adult menu and filled up on a giant filet. 

The kids got to paint their chip cup and then eat it. Such a special, out of the ordinary dessert. 

After Be Our Guest, we headed across the park to explore some of the other lands and stopped for some pictures of course. 

We watched the show in the Hall of Presidents, and then walked over to Adventureland to use our Jungle Cruise fast pass. I do not understand the appeal of that ride and would never have waited in the stand by queue but for a minimal wait, it's a funny ride to experience. Katherine missed it all. We won't tell her what she missed. We also walked through the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse while we were in Adventureland. 

We used our other two fast passes for Pirates of the Caribbean and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (which was much better than I remembered). That was a kid favorite. 

Winnie the Pooh had been closed earlier in the day, and since we had been able to ride everything else, we walked back over and rode it. The queue for it is super fun. The kids didn't even realize they were waiting in line for most of it. 

Nathan and I staked out a fireworks viewing spot, while Matt took the other kids to ride the tea cups again, and we ended the night with the Magic Kingdom fireworks. I'm still a little bitter about the replacement of the Happily Ever After show, but you can't ever be too upset at Disney World. 

We shopped on Main street for a while after the fireworks to let the crowds clear out. I picked out a Pandora charm for my bracelet, and we stopped for nighttime pictures in front of the castle. 

We left that evening with tired feet and happy hearts. We had such a wonderful day at Magic Kingdom. With the fast passes, we rarely waited in line the whole day, experienced some really fun attractions, ate delicious food, and bonded as a family making lifelong memories. It was one of the best days ever!
